On Monday, October 24, fourth grade students took a trip to Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, in Charlottesville, VA. This allowed students to get a "real-life" experience of Virginia's history. They were taken on a tour of the house and grounds. Students also participated in a classroom portion where they learned in depth about Thomas Jefferson's love of nature and science.
